DC5000E Electric Powered, Skid Mounted, 5000 CFM Dust Collector

This 5,000 CFM dust collector was designed by SAFE Systems to provide you with a unit for tight spaces.  The original design was developed for use at the Kennedy Space Center for the space shuttle. Caster mounted, with fork lift pockets and certified crane lifting eyes, the compact unit can easily be positioned in an optimum location.  The compact size allows it to be pushed through halls and doorways and transported in cargo elevators, reaching positions inside structures that otherwise would require long duct lengths.  One (1) 18” duct connection makes connecting vent hose quick. A large, "Container-style" door makes filter and dust drawer access easy.

Six (6) MERV 11 rated cartridge filters (MERV 15 rated filters are available) collect the dust particles and are cleaned by a reverse pulse jet of 90 PSIG compressed air, one row of three (3) filters, at a time. The dust particles then fall into the dust drawer below that can be emptied by removing the dust drawer or suck the dust from the drawer through the optional vacuum port on the back.

Belts and drives are eliminated by the direct-drive 15 HP motor. The NEMA 4 control box is dust and water tight to protect the electrical controls from contaminants and moisture.  The unit comes with 25’ of the properly sized SO cord to allow electrical connection at the job site. One large, easy to open and close “Container Style” door gives quick access to the filters and dust drawer.

Unit may be used with the HEPA5000 After-filter System.  Some on-site assembly will be required if the contractor needs to take the HEPA5000 and DC5000E combination through standard 3' x 7' doorways.

Notes:
  1. Not intended to be shipped or moved with any dust in the collector.
  2. Not intended to be laid down horizontally for shipment.
  3. Recommend emptying dust every 2 to 4 hours depending on the dust collection rate.
  4. Recommend connection to power be made by a qualified electrician.
  5. Have electrician verify correct fan rotation after connection
  6. Recommend all new filters be coated with precoat dust prior to putting into service.  Precoat can be purchased from SAFE Systems, P/N 1416 0000.
  7. If operating this equipment using a generator, check with the generator provider to ensure proper sizing.
  8. We recommend at least a 30 KW generator for this piece of equipment.
  9. Using the HEPA module requires the use of a removable fan discharge transition which adds 18" to operating height.
  10. The transition can be installed on site to enable the unit to still fit through doorways and hallways.
