This is for S4C Combination Abrasive Metering/Shutoff Valve Part numbers 6204-0110, 6204-0044 oring kit, 62040005 Rubber metering washer, 62030065 C-1 Hose coupling, 74640014 sb4 hose coupling, 62040000 Valve cap, 6204-0011 Base assembly, 62040006SS Plunger, 74200011 Hex Nut, 43004502 Acorn nut, 62040172 air regulator, 62040173 Pressure gauge, 31001052 Air Shutoff valve, 15354500 tubing 1/4"
Without control air, the S4C valve is closed and the grit flow is shut off.  The valve uses a spring to depress the plunger and compress the rubber washer, providing complete shut-off of grit and air from the pot when there is no air pressure applied to the valve’s control air input.

A pressure regulator (usually mounted to the main control box), allows the user to adjust the grit flow by adjusting the air pressure. A fully functioning S4C valve system includes a separate actuated air valve and a special dual function deadman switch to allow a “blowdown” feature.  This allows the operator to instantly switch from blasting (grit and air) to “blowdown” (air only).

Conversion kits are available to retrofit vessels from old style pinch valves and metering valves to the safer and more efficient S4C valves.  Call for information.
